Exploiting the circulating metabolome to discover critical events in cancer invasion and metastasis
Host: Johanna Ivaska (Johanna.ivaska@utu.fi)
It is now clear that the microenvironment is key to determining the likelihood and rate at which mutated cells form malignant tumours, or remain quiescent. The Norman lab focuses on communication between cancer cells and different microenvironments on the path to metastasis. Key words: cancer, invasion, metastasis, metabolism, protein synthesis, ribosomes, exosomes, endosome trafficking, integrins, extracellular matrix
