From doctoral studies in chemical engineering to working in biotech: My journey

Dr. Olga Simakova graduated from Abo Akademi University (Ph.D. Chemical Engineering, 2012) and is currently working for AMGEN (a worldwide pioneer in biotechnology). She will be sharing her career experience transitioning from academic research focused on catalysis into the biotechnology industry. The talk is primarily focused on lessons learned during her career journey and advice to those pursuing a transition to the biotechnology and pharma industry. In addition, there will be a panel discussion with other professionals from the field.

The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with Olga Simakova (Amgen), Ernie Xavier Perez Almodovar (Amgen Manufacturing Ltd), Heli Tenhola (Amgen Helsinki)
