Health Talks: Addressing Unseen and Overlooked Health Challenges in Women’s Health

Women’s health encompasses the physical, mental, and social well-being of women, addressing unique health issues such as reproductive health, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, and conditions like osteoporosis, breast and cervical cancers. It also involves preventive care, access to healthcare services, and addressing health disparities influenced by socio-economic, cultural, and biological factors. Promoting women’s health includes education, early detection, and treatment of diseases, and ensuring comprehensive care throughout a woman’s life stages. This Health Talks introduces Women’s Health Hub initiative in Turku which aims to highlight the unmet needs in women’s health, foster collaboration among current stakeholders in the field and encourage new participants to join the conversation.
