Liisa Koivula, InFLAMES Communications Specialist
Wondering why you should do science communication? There are (at least) three reasons
At the start of the second term of the InFLAMES Flagship, we would like to welcome all postdocs – old and new – to join the Postdocs in Flames network! Our network organises various events focusing on career-development aspects of academia and industry. We cater (with coffee, pulla, and more!) events such as seminars, panel discussions, company meets and other social gatherings aimed at postdocs, seniors and late-stage PhD researchers of the InFLAMES ecosystem. Do you know a colleague that might be interested? Pass this information on!
This year we are also excited to be joining forces with the Turku Bioscience PhD-Postdoc Board to organise two larger events about academic funding and finding a job in industry. More information coming soon!
Join us at our next special event; the monthly Friday Café on Friday the 31st of January at 12:00 (MediCity seminar room 4009, BioCity 4th floor office-side). We will kick-off the second term of InFLAMES with an introduction of the Postdocs in Flames network, complete with lunch and coffee served. Afterwards, our very own InFLAMES Communication Specialist Liisa Koivula will be talking about the importance of communication. Members of the PhD-Postdoc Board are also welcome to attend!
