Lifespan of the immune system – from basic education to curing the cancer

Immune response is essential for host defense to microbes, environmental triggers, ourselves and cancer. Education of immune response early in life is crucial to combat these challenges, and longevity is linked to several aspects of immune response. This symposium will cover the entire lifespan of immune response and what we have already learnt on fundamental aspects. Translational aspects from genetic presidposition, epigenomics, immunoprofiling, early prediction and prevention, diagnostics by cutting-edge technologies such as PET-imaging, from pre-clinical to clinical studies in neurological and metabolic diseases and onco-immunlogy will be discussed.
