 ch centre jointly supported by the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi Un
 iversity in Turku\, Finland.\n\nHe primarily focuses on mass spectrometry-
 based proteomics research related to type 1 diabetes and the characterizat
 ion of T helper cell subtypes.He is first author on the recent Diabetologi

 lly significant associations with fasting C-peptide/glucose. Of these\, ap
 olipoprotein L1 and glutathione peroxidase 3 (GPX3) displayed the stronges
 t positive and inverse associations\, respectively. Changes in GPX3 levels
  during the first year after diagnosis indicated future fasting C-peptide/
 glucose levels. In addition\, differences in the levels of 13 proteins wer
 e observed between the individuals with type 1 diabetes and the matched UF
 Ms. These included GPX3\, transthyretin\, prothrombin\, apolipoprotein C1 
 and members of the IGF family.\n\n&nbsp\;
