 trial collaborations \n\nWelcome to this year's last Postdocs in Flames (P
 iF) Friday Café\, where you will hear more about academia-industry coll
 aborative projects. Coffee\, pulla\, and smoothies are served. First come
 \, first serve!\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nViitala research group has since 2010 focuse
 d on developing real-time label-free physico-chemical based analytical pla
 tforms for characterization of nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems an
 d for measuring complex biological interactions. This is a very niche rese
 arch area\, but currently his research group is overloaded with requests f
 or collaborations\, because their unique analysis platforms provide inform
 ation that is currently not possible to obtain with the state-of-the art t
 echniques in life sciences. This has also given them the opportunity to re
 ceive several academia-industry projects funded by Business Finland Co-Inn
 ovation\, Finnish Research Impact Foundation and PoDoCo. In this presentat
 ion\, Tapani will shortly describe their analysis platforms\, how they hav
 e been able to engage with industrial partners and what has been their gui
 ding theses on their path when developing their analytical platforms.\n\n&
