 exposure to drugs – harmful effects and challenges in investigating them
 \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDocent Heli Malm\, specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology
 \, is the leading expert in teratology in Finland. She worked as a consult
 ant in the Teratology Information Service which serves both healthcare pro
 fessionals and laymen for almost 30 years. Her research focuses on materna
 l drug exposure and pregnancy outcomes\, with special focus on psychotropi
 c drugs utilizing large\, nationwide datasets and epidemiological methods.
  She has published several key papers in the field and she was recently ap
 pointed as an honorary member of the Finnish Society of Clinical Pharmacol
 ogy. She has contributed chapters on drug use during pregnancy and lactati
 on for several textbooks and is actively involved in teaching. More inform
