 es straight into the practical side of societal impact. The INVEST pre-con
 ference will focus on societal impact in concrete terms: how does publishe
 d research become societal change? How does research-based knowledge move 
 into policymaking\, legislation\, public services and broader societal dis
 cussions? It’s a hands-on discussion about what works\, what doesn’t\,
  and what needs to change if research is to make a lasting difference. The
