 n\nExperimental design for hypothesis-driven quantitative fluorescence mic
 roscopy\n\nInFLAMES Visiting Professor Teng-Leong Chew will be in Turku fr
 om June 17 to 20 and he is leading a one-day miniworkshop on Tuesday 18th 
 June.\n\nThe workshop is suitable for everyone from imaging experts to com
 plete novices. No previous knowledge of imaging techniques or microscopy i
 s required\, but even more experienced researches are sure to learn someth
 ing new.\n\nTopics covered in the workshop include various light microscop
 y modalities\, imaging techniques\, experiment types and design of hypothe
 sis-driven microscopy experiments\, accounting for biases and avoiding the
 m in the experimental design\, and accurate reporting of imaging parameter
 s in publications. Participants will also have the chance to familiarise t
 hemselves with experiment design and planning through a practical assignme
