 ng seminar with Prof. Bishr Omary. Omary’s research focuses on rare dis
 eases that cause damage to the liver\, skin and other tissues. His work ha
 s led to seminal findings of molecular disease mechanisms\, for example on
  the role and posttranslational regulation of intermediate filament kerati
 ns and lamins in gastrointestinal epithelia using disease models and in pa
 tients. His studies have led to several patents related to medical diagnos
